4 million visitors to Ba Den Mountain in the first 7 months of 2025

Statistics show that in the first 7 months of 2025, Tay Ninh province welcomed an estimated 5.1 million tourists, generating a total tourism revenue of 3,250 billion VND. Of this, Sun World Ba Den Mountain alone had 4 million visitors taking the cable car up Ba Den Mountain as of July 30th.

This is a positive sign indicating that Ba Den Mountain tourist area in particular, and Tay Ninh in general, is becoming increasingly attractive to tourists and a leading destination in Southern Vietnam.

Dao Thi Viet, Deputy General Director of Sun World Ba Den Mountain, said: “We are extremely proud that so many tourists have chosen to visit and return to the Ba Den Mountain tourist area over the years. With today's special milestone, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the people of Tay Ninh and tourists who have shown their love for the highest mountain in Southern Vietnam.”

On the afternoon of July 30, 2025, a large number of tourists lined up at the Ba Den Mountain cable car station to make a pilgrimage to the centuries-old Ba Temple system and visit the magnificent spiritual structures on the mountaintop. Here, the tourist area announced the lucky 4 millionth visitor and adjacent visitors received attractive prizes.

With its majestic natural scenery, Ba Den Mountain is known as the “first heavenly mountain,” a healing and mind-body balancing destination for millions of domestic and international tourists each year. Not only is it a sacred mountain associated with a centuries-old ancient temple system, but the peak of Ba Den Mountain is also home to a system of magnificent spiritual cultural structures. Here, a series of festivals and spiritual events are held year-round, such as the Ba Den Mountain Spring Festival, Vesak Day, Ba Den Mountain Anniversary, Ullambana Festival, etc., or the lantern offering ceremony held every Saturday evening, has become a ritual that tourists must attend at least once in their lifetime.

Ba Den Mountain is also an iconic cultural destination of Tay Ninh province, where many major cultural events are held. At the beginning of August, the Baden Mountain International Marathon 2025 will take place, one of the largest in Southeast Vietnam. This is the first time a marathon in Tay Ninh has received international standard course certification from AIMS, attracting more than 6,000 runners from across the country.

Leaf Market – a unique market using leaves as currency, originating in Tay Ninh, will also be held on August 2, as an activity to enhance the experience for runners and tourists to discover the gentle beauty in the cultural life of the indigenous people.

With a series of attractive festivals from now until the end of the year, along with continuous investment in high-class tourism products while preserving the soul and spiritual cultural values of the sacred mountain, Ba Den Mountain National Tourism Area is expected to contribute to helping Tay Ninh exceed its plan to welcome 7.7 million visitors in 2025.
